Huge Tree Pastry Reviews (1376)
I always love coming here to get breakfast on the weekends. My go to is fan tuan with purple rice. The rice perfectly balances out the sourness of the pickles and the savoriness of the dried pork. The rice and the fried dough are very filling, and the fan tuan is a great portion without being too overwhelming, I recommend. less
I love me a Taiwanese breakfast and this spot is super authentic! We did a relatively large takeout order over the phone, and it was ready within 25 min, very efficient. My personal favorite was the egg green onion pancake, they also include all the different sauces for takeout orders. The minced pork over rice was a huge portion and included egg and the classic pickled Taiwanese veggie 酸菜. Still was amazing and the large cup is massive, enough to share between 2-3 people. The only reason I'm docking a star is because the fantuan didn't taste fresh, it was a bit hardened and the donut on the inside wasn't crispy. Overall highly recommend the spot, all the food, service and cozy ambiance took me back to Taiwan! less
Google maps definitely didn't mention this spot was on the other side of the plaza but there is ample parking. This is a true mom and pop shop, nothing fancy and straight to the point. Look at what you want before coming up to the counter, order and pay cash. My 3 fan tuan came out in maybe just under 5 mins! I got 3 fan tuan with everything - purple rice, pickled vegetables and a fried egg. Theres also a Chinese fried donut inside. The side of your fantuan might vary but it's very filling and is great for on the go food. For those who don't like sticky rice, going with white rice would be a better option, also less heavy feeling. The store had their air conditioning on with additional fans so it's also a great place to have a quick breakfast. I didn't have a chance to try the soy milk but when I come back I hope to! less
The purple rice salty fan tuan with egg and pickles is the way to go. It does cost extra but the medley of flavors and textures is worth it. The youtiao was crispy and the eggs, pork floss, and tangy pickles were engulfed in a thin layer of purple sticky rice. The service was pretty poor to be frank but I didn't expect much so I just let it go since the food made up for it. It'd be great if they had dine-in but everything is to-go and cash only. less
Huge Tree Pastry is a Taiwanese breakfast spot serving Chinese donuts, soy milk, and savory "pastries." The dining room is currently closed, so order at the window. Remember to bring cash. Fan Tuan: The fan tuan is a Chinese breakfast burrito where the wrapper is a layer of rice. Go with the purple jasmine rice. It's a bold option with very different soft and firm textures. It also has a nuttier flavor. The Chinese donut (You Tiao) is a savory cruller that adds crispiness. They pull out all the stops with their other fillings. The pickled mustard greens are sweet and tangy. The pork floss threads are light, crispy, and delicate. The fried egg is a nice touch as it adds flavor and heft. Get a bowl of salty soy milk and a crispy you tiao for dunking. A cup of cold, sweet, soy milk is refreshing. If you get a large cup, it's basically the size of a Big Gulp. Dining Area: Unfortunately, the dining area is closed so you have to eat everything in the parking lot of you can't wait. Parking: The lot is large and stress-free. less

Been coming here for my fan tuan fix ever since I stumbled upon it over 3 years ago and I don't see an end to that any time soon! They just opened up their dining area again back in June and I'm so excited because we've always just ordered take out since it's been closed due to covid. This is a family owned business and if you go during the weekends (I've haven't been during the week), you'll more than likely be greeted by the owner's daughter's, Lillian, warm smile. She's very welcoming and very patient if you have any questions about anything on the menu! Our go to has to be the fan Tuan with purple rice add both egg and pickled. It's so good that my boyfriend looks forward to it as a weekly end of weekend treat to ward off the Sunday scaries. My grandma and mom will also never say no to fan Tuan from Huge Tree Pastry - that's saying a lot! 3 purple rice fan Tuan with egg and pickle will run you $24.64. Is it a bit pricey? Sure, but what isn't nowadays? Does it taste delicious and is it worth the money? Definitely. Especially knowing that it's supporting a small business and you're getting quality food. We usually just walk in and order but I opted to call in my order this morning. My order was all ready to go by the time I got there! Still highly recommend this location if you're looking for some good eats! less
